Day 1 | Arrival in Argentina’s Capital
Welcome to Buenos Aires! Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and transferred to the luxurious Palacio Duhau β Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, where you’ll settle in and prepare for your adventure. In the evening, enjoy a welcome cocktail reception with fellow travelers.
Ushuaia
Day 2 | Gateway to Antarctica
Fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world and the starting point of your expedition. Depending on the time, opt for a scenic trek in the Cerro AlarkΓ©n Nature Reserve before boarding the elegant Le Lyrial. Your journey officially begins as the ship sets sail.

Falkland Islands
Day 3 | South Atlantic Adventure
Your first full day at sea! Cruise east toward the Falkland Islands as A&K’s Expedition Team kicks off their engaging lectures, focusing on photography to help you capture the magic ahead.
Day 4 | Rugged Beauty & Wildlife
Weather permitting, explore the Falkland Islands, a stunning sub-Antarctic haven. Keep an eye out for gentoo and rockhopper penguin colonies, as well as the majestic albatross.
Day 5 | Wilderness & History
Conditions allowing, visit Stanley, the Falkland Islands’ historic capital, or delve into its surrounding wild landscapes.

South Georgia
Day 6 | Whale Watching in the South Atlantic
As you journey toward South Georgia, keep your binoculars handy for potential whale sightings in these nutrient-rich waters.
Day 7 | Life on the Open Ocean
Cruise past the Shag Rocks islets, scanning the seas for seabirds and marine mammals thriving in this vibrant ecosystem.
Day 8 | South Georgia’s Wildlife Haven
Arrive in South Georgia, a breathtakingly biodiverse region. Explore its rugged shores, where vast king penguin colonies and other wildlife await.
Day 9 | Shackletonβs Legacy
Learn about Sir Ernest Shackleton’s heroic Antarctic expeditions and visit historic whaling and exploration sites with insights from your A&K historian.
Day 10 | A Photographerβs Paradise
Conditions permitting, visit South Georgia’s southern coast, home to fur seals, southern elephant seals, and thriving penguin coloniesβperfect for capturing stunning shots.

The Scotia Sea
Day 11β12 | Enrichment & Anticipation
Sail through the Scotia Sea, attending expert-led lectures on Antarctic history, wildlife, and photography as anticipation builds for the White Continent.

Day 13β16 | The Incredible White Continent
Weather and ice permitting, explore the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands. Search for gentoo and chinstrap penguins, giant petrels, and skuas as you marvel at snowcapped mountains, glaciers, and iceberg-strewn channels. Your expert team ensures you make the most of every moment with guided landings and insights.

The Drake Passage
Day 17β18 | Storied Seas & Reflection

Day 19 | Farewell to Ushuaia
